We’ll then follow with casual networking, refreshments, and a Q&A session with attorney/health & wellness coach, Jessica Hammon.
Available yoga mats ARE LIMITED. Please bring your own if possible.
Cost: $10 for WLAM members and $15 (+processing fee) for non-WLAM members
Jessica J. Hammon was admitted to the State Bar of Michigan in November 2008 and earned her J.D. with honors from Ave Maria School of Law. Jessica exclusively practices family and child welfare law. In addition to her private practice, she is the lead attorney for Attorneys for Indigent Defense, PLLC – the only firm contracted in Genesee County to represent indigent mothers in child welfare cases. Jessica serves as the Vice President of the Genesee County Bar Association as well as the Family Law Committee Chair, Community Action Committee Chair, Barristers’ Ball Committee Chair, and Golf Outing Committee member. Jessica sits on the board of “Friends of the Alley” – a non-profit organization dedicated to the beautification and pedestrianization of the downtown Flint alleyways, specifically Buckham Alley and Brush Alley.
While there isn’t a lot of it, in her spare time Jessica enjoys being a fitness and wellness advocate. She is a certified Piyo instructor, Beachbody Coach, and currently training to attain her certification in yoga. “I remember what it was like before I got healthy in both mind and body. Life was scattered, hectic, and
pointedly unhappier. Now, while I am certainly still on my wellness journey, I’m able to take the chaos and look at it with a smile. The famous saying that life is 10% what happens to you and 90% how you react to it is true. Finding your conflicts and reshaping them into strengths is one of the best feelings in the world.” Jessica lives in Flint with her fiancé Elliot and their two cats, Cher and Polly.
